You MUST have a minimum of 6 inches of axle, from your backing plate to the end of the axle threads. It may be necessary to remove your brakes for the winter months to achieve 6 inches of axle. These skis will work with factory gear legs or fiberglass gear legs, the key is 5/8" dia. axle with a min. of 6 inches of axle. You must have the wheels and tires that I supply, these wheels are a must because of their width. If you do have the fiberglass gear legs, you will need an additional metal cuff on the gear leg, where the drag link attachment point is drilled through the gear leg (you would want this for my skis or any other ski for that matter). This is to prevent the bolt from moving around in the fiberglass gear leg. This cuff is similiar to the one that is on the leg to where the landing gear cables attach now. A 3" long cuff can be purchased and cut in half to use as 2 cuffs.
